The 2020 USS Clarion River LSMR409 and LSM/LSMR Association Reunion in Washington DC, Sept 17-21, 2020 has been “”OFFICIALLY CANCELLED””. Because of the health and safety concerns of my fellow Shipmates, friends and other LSM Associations personnel.
I have been discussing with Reunion Hotel Management the possibility of cancellation of our reunion. I was on a Conference call this morning with Donna Lee (LSM co-coordinator and tours) and Holiday inn National Airport/Crystal City Hotel Management. Hotel Management agreed in good faith, to let us out of our binding contract and waived our $15,800.00 cancellation penalty fees. Only requiring me to forfeit our original deposits.
As my time has come to a close as being host coordinator for past 15 years, Randolyn and I would like to thank everyone through the years for attending and making these reunions possible. I am happy that We were able to gather so many of our shipmates and families together and meet so many wonderful people along the way. It is my hope that someone will step up and take it upon themselves to take over and continue with future LSMR 409 Reunions.
